Truth and Social Media

British Council in partnership with New College of the Humanities

A British Council 'Knowledge is GREAT' Lecture with

Professor A. C. Grayling - Master, New College of the Humanities, and Supernumerary Fellow of St Anne's College, Oxford

About the Lecture:

What does it mean to say that we live in a ‘post-truth world’ and what role do social media play in this phenomenon? There are many benefits associated with social media and the internet, but many serious problems are being created by them too: personal lives and public affairs can both be negatively affected by what happens in the social media. Understanding this is a key to being able to evaluate and critically assess what we meet with in cyberspace. Professor A C Grayling explains and explores this subject.
